About me

I am a child of refugees. When my family was given the opportunity 30 years ago to come to the United States we lived by the word “Tesfa” which means hope in the Tigrayian language. My family is the root of everything I do. I am an alumni of the University of Colorado where my degree in Human Resources taught me to open lines of communication between communities and the resources they need. I love to network and engage in conversations. I have an insatiable curiosity for my surroundings. To structure this intrigue, I get involved in multiple activities. Being in organizations such as National Black MBA Association, National Millenial and GenZ Council, and Tigray Professional Network have allowed me to focus my energy and time in order to produce something wonderful and positive for all involved. While my community involvement takes a lot of my time, I also serve as the Chief of Staff of the Georgia Legislative Black Caucus.
